The Himalayan Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster simonsii) is a semi-evergreen insectivorous perennial hedge. It forms rosettes of small paired dark-green leaves, which are hinged in a clam-like fashion, turning red in autumn and winter. In summer tiny white flowers, tinged pink in June attract honey and bumble bees followed by persistent red berries in autumn.
