Griselinia shrubs are vigorous evergreen shrubs with broad leathery leaves and are often used for hedging as they make good windbreaks, especially in coastal areas. Griselinia are suitable in all soils and positions, in particular light, fertile, well drained soil in full sun and sheltered from cold winds. They will withstand temperatures down to -12oC (10oF), but must have shelter from cold drying winds.
