The Escallonia (Escallonia bifida 'Donard Seedling') is a colourful fast growing evergreen shrub, with shiny scented green leaves. It produces masses of pretty pink tinted white flowers throughout the summer that are sweetly scented. It grows well in all conditions, in particular sunny or partially shaded, well-drained positions. It should be pruned for shape after flowering.
